About

Eric Schencman

As Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President for Business Development, Eric is focused on developing InterTech Media's technology strategy, supporting the company's technological innovations, and developing key relationships with outside partners.  InterTech’s competitive advantage is its fully integrated suite of open compatible proprietary software.  Eric ensures complete technical integration between the flagship Web Content Management System and all of its premium features, while systematically building technology that allows for easy integration of open source components as well as third party products.

Eric began his technology career in 1990 at ABC News, where he developed the first LAN based Newsroom system for World News Tonight, Nightline, and other broadcasts.  In 1996 he was recruited by Fox News Channel to design and build an entire newsroom LAN/WAN infrastructure from the ground up to support their new 24-hour cable news network.

Eric went on to become VP of Information Technology for Porter Novelli Public Relations and VP of Information Technology for the specialty consumer finance company Delta Funding Corporation, where he oversaw all application development, infrastructure, and customer support.

Eric graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in Communications and Psychology.
